Sept 3rd Thursday (optional): Tepe -prime: We shall depart from METU -Materials Engineering Dept (where the school takes place ) at 19:00 and from EBİ at 19:05. and go to TEPE PRIME for food and drink at your leisure and return to EBİ at 23:00 .
Sept 4th Friday(optional) : Hamamönü : We shall depart from from METU -Materials Engineering Dept at 19:00 and from EBİ at 19:05. and go to Hamamönü – in old Ankara for food and drink at your leisure and return to EBİ at 23:00 .
Sept 5thSaturday(optional)( Group II) : Anatolian Civilization Museum : We shall depart from from METU -Materials Engineering Dept at 14:00 and from EBİ at 14:05. and go to Ulus for Anatolian Civilization Museum and return to Materials Engineering Dept at 17:30.
Sept 6th Sunday(optional) ( Group I) : Anatolian Civilization Museum : We shall depart from from METU -Materials Engineering Dept at 14:00 and from EBİ at 14:05. and go to Ulus for Anatolian Civilization Museum and return to Materials Engineering Dept not later than 17:00.
Sept 6th Sunday : The closing session of the summer school will start at 17:00 and will terminate at 17 50. We shall then walk to social building ( next to Cultural and Convention Center) for closing reception. We shall not be on our own as this is also the welcome reception of the symposium.

International Summer School on Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion
3-6 September 2015 METU, Ankara
Summer school on materials for energy storage and conversion is a 4-day training school which preceds the symposium. The school concentrates on advanced characterization techniques common to all three activity areas, namely Solid State Hydrogen Storage(SSHS), Batteries and Fuel Cells. It also comprises overviews on energy storage and conversion, electrochemical hydrogen storage, Li-ion batteries, supercapacitors and solid oxide fuel cells.
The School is supported in part by COST Action MP1103 (Nanostructured Materials for Solid-State Storage) and over 20 scholarships will be available . For support and other details Turkish (speaking) applicants should refer to enerjimalzemeleriyazoklulu.org.

                  

 

Pre-registration  to summer school is now open  and will close  on June 8th 2015.  Please use  the link below for pre-registration  indicating the area in which you are working , if you made a submission  to the symposium and whether or not you require  the COST support. Following pre-registration,  applicants who have applied for COST support will be passed to the COST committee for selection.
The procedure would then continue with registration. Applicants who have been selected for the school, with or without COST support will be asked to register using an online form given below .  Registration fee for the summer school is 150 € (75 € for COST supported applicants) .
